John Bresland is the coauthor of the forthcoming Crafting the Video Essay (University of Chicago Press, 2013), with Marilyn Freeman. His audio essays have aired on Weekend America. His video essays have appeared in Ninth Letter and Wag’s Revue. His print essays have appeared in North American Review and Brevity, and have been anthologized in Fourth Genre: Contemporary Writers of/on Creative Nonfiction (Longman, 2011) and Essayist on the Essay: Montaigne to Our Time (University of Iowa Press, 2012). He is the recipient of the 2006 Tamarack Award and a Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation fellowship. Bresland is an Artist-in-Residence at Northwestern University.
