TORI SHARPE

Tori Sharpe’s poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing, Tar River Poetry, and The Louisville Review. She is the recipient of the 2008 Andrew Julius Gutow Poetry Prize and the 2008 Burleson Award from the University of Texas. She was also a finalist for a 2011 AWP Intro Journals Award. Sharpe was a scholar in poetry at the 2006 Sewanee Writers’ Conference and a staff member in 2007. She received her MFA in creative writing from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009, and is a doctoral fellow at the University of North Texas, where she is pursuing a PhD in English with a concentration in creative writing. Sharpe is the assistant poetry editor of the American Literary Review.  end
