On October 12, 2012, the poet Stanley Plumly sat down with VCU students and faculty for a conversation on poetic craft, centering on work from his most recent book, Orphan Hours (W.W. Norton & Co., 2012).

Plumly is introduced by poet and VCU professor David Wojahn, after which the conversation is opened up for questions from graduate students in the VCU MFA program as well as members of the creative writing faculty.

The conversation was part of the Virginia Commonwealth University Visiting Writers Series, which is cosponsored by The Department of English and the Graduate Writers Association.   end
