Michaux Dempster’s fiction appears in the forthcoming anthology Trust and Treachery: Tales of Power, Intrigue, and Violence (Dark Quest LLC, 2014). Her scholarly work is forthcoming in the International Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. She received her MEd in school counseling from Auburn University in 1998 after working in Henrico County Public Schools for four years. She earned an MA in writing and rhetoric from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004 and an MFA in creative writing in 2006. Dempster is a regular reviewer for Blackbird.
