The 17th Annual Levis Reading Prize event took place at the Grace Street Theatre on October 9, 2014. The four audio recordings to the right were captured during the event.

Gregory Donovan's essay, “The Anecdote as Antidote: Skipping Rope with Larry Levis,” discusses “Elegy Ending in the Sound of a Skipping Rope,” the poem concluding Levis’s final collection, Elegy.

Kathleen Graber's introduction includes a special thanks to the sponsors of the Levis Reading Prize and a consideration of the winner, Roger Reeves, and his winning collection, King Me.

Reeves reads several poems from King Me before responding to a number of audience questions during the evening's concluding Q&A session. Full transcripts accompany the audio for both the reading and the Q&A.
