In celebration of the Carole Weinstein Prize in Poetry, the Carole Weinstein Poetry Prize Event was held on April 9, 2014 at the Carole and Marcus Weinstein Jewish Community Center in Richmond, Virginia. The event featured a reading and panel discussion by the prize’s curators and past winners. The Weinstein Prize, established in 2005, is awarded each year to a poet with strong connections to the Commonwealth of Virginia. The $10,000 annual prize recognizes significant recent contributions to the art of poetry and is awarded on the basis of a range of achievement in the field of poetry.
