Mr. Darcy (Cars surround us)

Cars surround us we close our selves
in houses is this desire to be in a
capsule from birth is our desire to
destroy the earth simply

because we want to see what’s inside
once a man said everything I
wanted to hear except I am deaf
sometimes I wonder

about the depth of our love for others or
are we simply diving to eat better
I am deaf but I hear there are oysters
at the bottom I can’t get

them because once you apply sunscreen
to your children your hands
are greasy my palms are pale for trying
to wipe out desire what if

everything on the bottom is really rotten
there are ten secrets behind
everything I say after a lifetime of lying
how much wine do I have to

drink to get the lies out the man hanging
out of the tower was forced out
by the smoke or made a choice to exit
the window he held on to a

rope until his hands slipped if he could
orient himself headfirst we
could say he wasn’t falling but
actually diving
