Christian Horlick was born in Los Angeles, California, and received an MFA in poetry from Virginia Commonwealth University. His poetry has appeared in Clackamas Literary Review, Fugue, Hayden's Ferry Review, and The GSU Review. He currently lives and writes in Rome, Italy.  

Tony Hoagland, author of What Narcissism Means to Me (Graywolf, 2003), was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. His second collection, Donkey Gospel (Graywolf, 1998), was awarded the James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets. His first book, Sweet Ruin (University of Wisconsin, 1992), was selected by Donald Justice for the Brittingham Prize in Poetry; it was also honored with the John C. Zacharis First Book Award from Emerson College and Ploughshares. Other honors include grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and a fellowship to the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center. Hoagland's poems and critical writings have appeared in such publications as Ploughshares, Agni, The Threepenny Review, The Gettysburg Review, The American Poetry Review, Harvard Review, and the 1991 Pushcart Prize anthology. He currently teaches at the University of Houston.
