Jeannine Savard is a poet and Associate Professor of English at Arizona State University. She has published several volumes of poetry, including Trumpeter (Carnegie Mellon, 1993) and most recently, My Hand Upon Your Name (Red Hen Press, 2005). Her first collection, Snow Water Cove, originally published by the University of Utah in 1988, will be re-released in September, 2005, by Carnegie Mellon as part of its Classic Contemporaries series. Savard is a recipient of the Jerome Poetry Shestack Prize from The American Poetry Review and has published in many national magazines and journals. She lives in Arizona.
