A Conversation with Katie Ford

On September 25, Katie Ford, winner of the 2009 Levis Reading Prize discussed her prize-winning collection of poetry, Colosseum, as well as her work and process with VCU Department of English faculty and students . Of her work, she says, “The poems I write represent the part of my mind that thinks of life as greatly rich and wonderful and also greatly painful and difficult and full of suffering . . . ” The event was facilitated by several members of the Richmond literary community, including Gregory Donovan, David Wojahn, and Mary Flinn.  end
