ABDALLAH AL SAIKHAN

Abdallah Al Saikhan of Saudi Arabia has served as editing director of Al Yamamah magazine and as vice-president and editor-in-chief of the daily Arabic newspaper Okaz. His first poetry collection, Concerns Among a Nation’s Weather, was published in 1988 by Dar Al Adab, Beirut, with a second edition published by the Hail Literary Club. Subsequent collections include The Return of Imru’ Al Qais and Neglected Poems. He has participated in numerous poetry and cultural events in Saudi Arabia, and in several conferences both within and outside the Arab world. His poetry has been translated into English under the auspices of PROTA, the Project for the Translation from Arabic.  end
