In 2006, she received first place recognition from the Poetry Society of New Hampshire for her poem “Exeunt,” and she was a finalist for the 2007 Ekphrasis Prize for her poem “What You Need to Charm Birds.” She has an MFA from Antioch University–Los Angeles.
